Joel took me out for a flash dinner on friday night for my birthday (no mean feat out here in the country!) It was lovely to be waited on hand and foot - i'm told i should make the most of this while it lasts!!!
When we got home we tried to take some serious belly shots for the file but i kept blinking so umm... it seemed a pixie dance was in order instead.
Yes, we are fit for parenting, your Honour....
The baby also turns 33 (weeks) this weekend... so not far to go now! There's lots of wriggling around in there now (especially in the early hours of the morning when some of us would rather be sleeping...) We're getting organised... lots of local friends are very generously giving/lending us baby clothes, change tables, car seats, baby slings, prams etc etc. We're looking at buying a baby and pram-friendly "family wagon", and we almost bought a house last week too! A long and dramatic saga in which the seller changed her mind right before we signed anything. All rather infuriating and disappointing. So our plan to be in our own nest in time for bub may have to be put on hold for a time. Probably just as well really... moving in the next month was going to be a blast!!!

kate. this is my first post on your blog! and oh gosh, i missed your birthday! it was always so nice to know we were (whatever unmentionable age from now on), about a month out from each other. i promise to make up for this abominable slackness! i will come and visit before the year is out. when you of course will be too busy to notice... :) take care...
