sea baths

Jess is a fab photographer so she took some belly snaps for the collection at the seabaths in newcastle. I was sad that I couldn't have a swim... the water was about 22deg.. and it was so beautiful and dramatic having the waves crashing against the wall and the coal tankers hovering out on the horizon.

We visited our friends harry and jess for easter... and had a great time, not withstanding both of us having colds (so no swimming, boo hoo)

27 weeks

ok, things are getting slightly more impressive down there now... the little critter is wriggling around a lot in there which is fun but still a bit surreal. Generally I'm feeling good- got a resonable amount of energy at the moment (which apparently i should savour while it lasts!!!)

our first upload!!!

taken at lake tyers beach last year... we came to gippsland for a few days to check out the hood before joel accepted the job offer... i remember feeling uncertain about uprooting my whole life to 'follow my man' but time spent at the beach gave me resolve that we were doing the right thing! xk8

baby steps

joelandkateand as yet unborn treasure (3months and counting) are dragged kicking and screaming into the new millenium... its time to get bloggy y'all.
We figure this might be a good way to satisfy info-hungry reli's and vaguely curious friends and passers-by... we fill you in on all the juicy details of living in lakeside bliss in east gippsland and how many times a night kate gets up for the toilet (1-2 at the moment actually, thanks for asking).
the plan is to finally learn how to put our access to technology to good use... (and feel less guilty about our lack of telephone calls) by uploading photos, spinning yarns etc etc right here.
